Policies & Guidelines
NMU Student Athletic Fee
As a part of NMU tuition and fees a one-time, non-refundable student athletic event fee has been paid by all first-time, full-time freshman and new undergraduate transfer students. Any students who haven’t been charged the fee (part-time & graduates) can opt in to the program by paying the fee. Students can go to Financial Services to opt in to the program. Once the one-time fee has been paid students qualify for student tickets under the NMU student ticket policy. For those students that have paid the Student Athletic Fee and would like a full season hockey ticket inside of the student section, the cost is $80. For more information on this policy, please visit: http://www.nmuwildcats.com/tic...
NMU students can attend most Wildcat Athletic events for free as part of the athletic fee program. A limited number of student tickets are available for NMU hockey games. In addition to NMU students, babies, people under the age of 18 and people over the age of 60 qualify for a discount on tickets. Children six and under are admitted free to football, basketball, and volleyball. Children two and under are admitted free to hockey.
Tickets for productions on multiple nights may be exchanged to an alternate night on a space-available basis. Tickets may not be exchanged between two different events. For all tickets there is an exchange fee of $2 per ticket. Season package holders will be charged $4 for exchanges once tickets are printed. All exchanges must be made at the Berry Events Center Ticket Office at least 24 hours in advance. Once the event has passed, tickets are invalid and cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Will call orders will be charged a fee of $2.00 per order. Mail orders will be charged a fee of $2.75. All phone ticket orders will be charged a fee of $1.00 per ticket.
Patrons are required to present their original game ticket and show an official NMU hand stamp. Hand stamps are available upon exit from any turnstile attendant. Failure to comply to the requirements will result in denial of admission and a new ticket must be purchased. Re-entry into any NMU Football, Volleyball or Basketball game requires a game ticket stub to be shown and/or scanned.
Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your event and seat selection. Guidelines set forth by Event Providers generally prohibit us from issuing exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased. However, if an event is sold out to the extent that we believe we can resell tickets we will issue refunds.
There are no refunds on ticket purchases unless a performance is canceled. Then, arrangements will be made to refund all ticket holders and the process for the refunds will be promoted on this Web site, as well as through local media outlets.
Refunds given due to canceled or postponed events will be refunded at the ticket's face value paid (or, for a discounted ticket, then instead the discounted ticket price paid). If a refund is issued, it will be issued using the same method of payment that was used to purchase the tickets. We will not be liable for travel or any other expenses that you or anyone else incurs in connection with a canceled or postponed event.
Unlawful Resale of Tickets; Promotions
Northern Michigan University Ticketing Operations acts as the agent to those who provide events, such as venues, teams, artist representatives, promoters, and various campus student groups/departments. When you purchase a ticket for an event that is located on Northern Michigan University’s Campus, Northern Michigan University Ticketing Operations will be handling the transaction and collecting payment for the Event Provider.
Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and if so are void. We cannot be held responsible for invalid tickets purchased through outside vendors or resellers. Because we do not guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from any non-authorized third party reseller (such as brokers or individuals), we recommend that you purchase tickets directly from us
Scalping (selling a ticket above face value) violates University policy and Michigan law. The Athletic Department reserves the right to cancel any existing season or single-game ticket orders and declare you ineligible to order future tickets if we receive sufficient evidence that a ticket assigned to you was sold or offered for resale for greater than the face value of the ticket.
Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes unless formal written authorization is given by us, provided that even if such consent is obtained.
Pricing and Availability
We sell tickets on behalf of Event Providers, which means we do not set the ticket prices or determine seating locations. Tickets are generally sold through several distribution points, including online, phone, NMU Ticketing Outlets and at the venue before the event. All of our distribution points access the same ticketing system and inventory. Therefore, tickets for popular events may sell out quickly. Occasionally, additional tickets may be available prior to the event.
Pricing and Other Errors
If the amount you pay for a ticket is incorrect regardless if it’s an error in a price posted on this Site or otherwise communicated to you, or you are able to order a ticket before its scheduled on-sale date or you are able to order a ticket that was not supposed to have been released for sale, we reserve the right to cancel that ticket (or the order for that ticket) and refund to you the amount that was paid. This will apply regardless if it was because of human error or a transactional malfunction of this website.
If you do not receive an order confirmation code (in the form of a confirmation page or email) after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm with NMU Ticketing Operations that your order has been placed. Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. We will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.
Will-call (pre-ordered) ticket policy
Anyone picking up tickets at the will-call window must present a photo ID and sign the will-call envelope. The name must match the name on the envelope. If leaving tickets for someone else, please provide an envelope with the person’s name and the number of tickets within. In addition, if you order tickets the week of an event, your tickets will automatically be placed in Will Call for that event.
We ask that all of our patrons demonstrate fan courtesy when attending events at all of our facilities. Improper conduct, including profane or abusive language or obscene gestures, interferences with the purpose of the game/event which includes throwing objects, intoxication or other signs of alcohol impairment that result in irresponsible behavior, verbal and physical harassment of opposing team fans, failing to follow instructions of event staff and any other conduct deemed to be beyond the bounds or reason may result in ejection from the building. Repeated offenses could result in the loss of ticket privileges.
You are Subject to Search
You and your belongings may be searched on entry to the event. You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Under certain facility rules, certain items many not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, alcohol, drugs, and controlled substances.

Limitation of Liability
Pucks, balls, and other objects may fly into the spectator area during an event. Despite spectator shielding, injury can occur. Stay alert at all times before, during and after play or performance. If struck, immediately ask an usher for assistance to the nearest medical personnel. You voluntarily assume all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring before, during or after the event, and you waive any claims for personal injury or death against us, management, facilities, leagues, artists, other participants, and all of our respective parents, affiliated entities, agents, officers, directors, owners and employees on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor. You bear all risks of inclement weather. Event date and time are subject to change.
License; Ejection and Cancellation; No Redemption Value
Event Providers reserve the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who fails to comply with Event Provider rules. Breach of terms or rules will terminate your license to attend the event without refund. A ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused upon refunding the ticket's face amount.
